What to Expect at a Veterinary Appointment
Knowing what to expect at your first appointment will help make the process more pleasant for both you and your pet.
1. Arrival & Preparation
Please plan to arrive approximately 10 minutes early to complete our New Patient Form. You and your pet will be shown into an examination room, where a member of our team will review your pet's medical history and any health issues in preparation for the veterinarian.
2. Meet Your Veterinarian
Your veterinarian will introduce themselves and get acquainted with your pet. They will talk to you about their medical history and any concerns you have. We rely on and encourage you to ask questions about your pet during your visit with us.
3. Exam, Diagnosis & Treatment
Once your veterinarian has examined your pet, they will share any exam findings with you and discuss any areas of concern or recommendations for continuing their current health. If any additional testing or steps are recommended, the veterinarian will review these with you and develop a treatment plan to map out the next steps.
